(The original value of the estate just last year was reportedly $70 million.)

Fashion icon and stylist Stacy London shows off her custom walk-in closet to AOL’s “You’ve Got…” video channel. As a co-host of TLC’s “What Not to Wear,” London has often offered no-nonsense yet high-fashion advice and her basic white and fully accessorized custom melamine closet with adjustable shelving and long hangs hidden behind cabinet doors reflect a bit of that personality.

The Kardashian sisters are famous for many things, most notable their juicy personal lives. But their style is just as compelling. The Keeping Up with the Kardashian stars threw open the doors to the their killer closets, revealing shelves organized with military precision, chic corners for sipping Champagne—and more than 100 pairs of Louboutins!

It's obvious to the people that have had a custom closet, but may not be obvious to others.  There are many reasons why people buy custom closets, and the reasons vary from person to person.  Most people rave about how simple things become; life gets easier because everything has a place.

1. Prices that seem too good to be true usually are too good to be true. Some "great deals" result from cutting corners, such as providing low-quality work or substandard materials.  Some local custom closet companies use thinner melamine to build their closet systems, others use plastic instead of metal hardware.  Just because the closet or garage cabinets look the same in the brochures doesn't mean the quality is the same!
